GT suffered their second defeat of the campaign in their last game as they were badly beaten by Punjab Kings.
Despite Sai Sudarshan (65 not out) scoring his maiden half-century in the IPL, GT was restricted to 143 for eight with the bat in hand.
For PBKS, Kagiso Rabada Starred with the ball, taking four wickets for 33 runs in a spell of four overs.
Chasing 144 Shikhar Dhawan PBKS laid a strong foundation for the chase and remained unbeaten on 62 for 53.
Apart from Dhawan, Bhanuka Rajapakse and Liam Livingstone He also played fast innings of 40 and 30 not out respectively.
Livingstone stole the show by dismissing Mohammed Shami for 28 in the last over.
With this win, PBKS has moved up to the fifth position in the IPL 2022 points table with 10 points so far.
GT, on the other hand, continues to top the table and will now take on Mumbai Indians on Friday, May 6.
